Is there anyone out there who can tell me the simple (if there is one) difference between a “Patent Applied For” and a “Patent No” pickup? I hav e a ‘66 Sunburst 335 and it has the “Patent No” sticker on the underside of the pickups….is it simply a case of when Gibson received their patent number they just used the same pickups for a few years and used the new sticker?…
