Welcome to the forum, Introvox! I have no idea what that bass is, but I do know what it isn't - a Gibson! |

Definitely sixties. |

Herb,
I am in no way a historian of vintage gear or anything...I'm hopin' you are...
This is an open discussion on TalkBass and it's pretty facinating. The only reason I pointed to Gibson is there is the transcript from an interview of the kids:
Did you guys get to keep the instruments?
(A big sigh comes from three of them)
REBECCA, KEVIN, JOEY: (looking sad) No.
JOEY: We all use Gibson guitars in the movie so we’re thinking sponsorship here.
(Major laughter)
JOEY: Quote that in your magazines. We want sponsorship from Gibson!
So you see why we all think (thought) it's a Gibby
please help solve this one and for all

| I've played Gibsons since 1965, and have never seen one like that. Besides, the headstock's shape is wrong. I also don't think I'd trust the word of young actors whose expertise is questionable at best, usually. |

| If you look under Jack's right hand you can see the Epiphone E. That's all I know for now, it's not a Casady Epi anyway. Maybe a vintage Epi. |

| The cutaway reminds me of a Washburn i've seen, but the headstock looks like one of the Ibanez Artcore series (electro acoustic model for guitar,i I don't know if the have basses too...) |
