| Hmmm... I dunno about that one, it's a little more viscous than citrous oils, like lemon or orange. I once used some linseed oil in a pinch, and I don't think it really hurt anything, but it seemed to thick. |

Yea we have to be very careful about "Lindseed oil", because there 2 kinds. "Raw" and "Boiled"!
One tine when I was a kid, I rubbed raw linseed oil on my baseball mitt and the next day it was hard as a rock! |

I beat the mitt with a baseball bat and couldn't get it soft!
If my teammates and coach hadn't of been there, I probably would have started crying!
I had to borrow a glove for weeks til I could get enough money from my paper route to get a new one!
I've never used raw linseed oil for anything since then.
I don't even know what it's for? Wood I think! |

We would use the nose to lubricate the metal on our fishing rods before putting them together. |

I use lemon oil once or twice a year & gently use a plectrum to de-gunk the frets....
Gibson polish on the body once a year or two.
Love the shine, but don't like how it clouds up where my arm makes contact or sweat gets to the finish when floggin it.
I haven't found a cure for the clouding problem, other than maybe going for a total striping off of the polish, then only using a damp rag.... |
