| 1977 Gibson RD Standard. Heavy as lead, extra long scale, all maple, really cool. |

| I am original owner of a '77 White Les Paul Triumph Bass. I have been thinking of selling but don't know where to start. The LPT was only built for 4 years and the White finish is considered rare. Got any ideas? |

I found a Gibson Grabber Bass about 10 years ago. Very good value, these don't have the collector cache of the Fenders. Paid $250, been playing it ever since. A find instrument that never found it's audience. Unique feature, the single sliding pickup. It does give the effect of toggling between to humbuckers, but kinda cool in a cheesy sorta way. Not a knock, just a strange idea that didn't sell to well in the 70's when these were made. Still if you keep your eyes open you can find them still for $300-$500 ready to rock. |

62 EB0. plastic pickup cover. low hovering cloud tone (not bad, really, also use a boss EQ to tame it sometimes.)
anyone have any thoughts about the action on these things? i keep it pretty low, 5/64ths on the bass side, 4/64ths on the treble with a perfectly straight neck. don't mind a little rattle, but wondered if this is considered a pretty low or just regular action. |

Have a friend with a Thunderbird which is superb but I have to say when it comes to basses Fender are my favourite.
I have a Jazz at the minute but I still lament my beautiful green Precision I foolishly traded in some years back.
God I miss that bass... |

I think the EB2 is a GREAT looking bass.
It needs the two pickups though. |
