Okay...I'm throwing this one out there rather grudgingly(if that's a word). I really love this guitar, but the fact is I have another L-50 that I play more, as well as a pair of L-4s that get played quite a bit as well. So this one needs to be in someone's hands more often than it is. It's a great guitar; I bought it in 2003 and have made no mods to it, and none are needed. It plays sweet, has a sweet archtop tone that makes these old guitars unbeatable. Records beautifully.
It comes with a non-original good quality hardshell case...can't think of anything else to add. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer any and all. FON stamped inside lower f-hole begins with 5995(two more digits follow).
Price is $900 plus shipping in the CONUS. Not really looking to trade for anything; needing to clear out a few things to make room, and to save up a few bucks 'cause I may be getting married within the next 12 months.
If interested, please email me or PM me here. Not wanting to put it on ebay(pay for the listing, then not meet reserve, still have to pay? screw that; not worth the trouble), so I'm advertising here for all the Gibson fans on this forum.

Thanks

The price is right, but unfortunately I don't need it or have the bucks at the moment. SA may wish to consider this as a venture into archtop land, as I said the price and quality are right. As for getting married, you may need the cash - but I warn you to have all the guitars you want to have before marriage. Afterwards the aquisitions may not come so easily - if at all! Wink Remember the two greatest mistakes made by men and women before marriage - women marry men with the hope that they will change, and they don't; and men marry women thinking they won't change, and they DO! No problem there, Herb, for a few reasons: 1) We've both been married before, and are really not looking to change each other. She knows I'm a musician, and she loves that part because 2) She's also very musically talented...beautiful voice, plays the piano, co-wrote several songs on my most recent CD, and I bought her a Baby Taylor for her birthday this year 'cause she wants to learn to play the guitar. So I don't think this'll be any problem.
Course, I still haven't brought myself to make the final decision...to actually propose or anything. When the time comes I feel like I'm ready to do it again I will...she's definitely the one I want to spend the rest of my life with, but right now I'm content with the way things are.
...but it'll be soon I'm sure Wink

Just wanted to bump this one up. This guitar is still for sale. Any marriage plans are off; me and the girl split right after Labor Day. But I am still looking to clear out a few things that are not being used.
So if anyone's interested, PM or email me.

Thanks

Sorry about the split, Scot, but it's probably for the best. Certainly better to break up before the marital thing!

Unfortunately, I'm a little over-invested right now, and working to dig myself out of that hole, so I probably shouldn't jump on this one right now.

Thanks for the offer,
Stan
