My old bassist moved to LA last year and he came back to Florida to visit his other family. His band was doing pretty good LA, and he makes a decent living between his day job and gigs. He also has a wife and a kid (he's 19 Confused ). When he got here we talked and he didn't have his sweet EB-3. I was lie "Where's yer bass dude?" His response: "Had to sell it to pay rent."

That sucks. It was a Gibson EB-3 from the 70's. He got 1K for it, so that's good, but now he's out of a really kick *Horse's Patoot* bass. Hearing these kinds of stories is really depressing.

He wantsz to get a replacement and really has a thing for EB basses. He says he'll either build his own, or get an Epiphone and upgrade it. The only thing is we can't find a place that makes EB replacement pickups. Any suggestions.
