Thinking about getting a used mid 90s era J200. How is the quality on the Gibson's of this period?

It was very good. But never buy a Gibson acoustic without a personal test drive!

Over the years I had a couple of 1990 J-200s(the necks were like night and day on those two) and a 1995 J-200(wonderful neck on that one).
Quality on all three was excellent. Also during this period(I was in a J-200 frame of mind for years) I bought a used 1965 J-200 that I didn't bond with at all, mainly due to the small necks and narrow fretboards Gibson was using at the time. Ending up selling it and taking a big loss on it...at the time, though today I could probably sell it and buy a decent used car!
But like Herb said, test drive any if you can. IMO overall quality of the mid 90s Bozeman Gibson was excellent.

I have a j200 1993 model. The sound and quality is excellent. The neck and is very nice and the sound is very rich and inviting.

I would never part with it and it just gets better with age.

There is a 100th anniversary (1994) J200 on Ebay right now for 2400....really thinking hard about it.. How do you think it compares to the SJ 200 True Vintage of todays production? I dont know how much difference ther might be... I know ts tough to tell without playing them ...the New SJ 200 TV in sunburst is an extra 2000$. anyone know how the 100th anniversary were?

Thanks
