| Hi,I just joined your forum.I'm hoping to find some information on a RECORDING KING AMP.I was told this was made by GIBSON in the late 30's early 40's.This is a wonderful sounding amp!It has a fieldcoil 12"speaker,Jenson I believe Coke Bottle 5u4 and 2)6l6g tubes, with 2)6sq7 and 2)6n7 tubes (octal preamp). It has avolume and bass tone for the microphone input. The two instument inputs have no volume controls, apparetnly you are supposed to use your volume control on your instrument, but you can use the tone control.Does anyone have a schematic for this amp.Apparently this amp is very very rare.Ther's hardly any info about it at all that I can find anywhere.Maybe there's a book about recording king amps and guitars, yes I've seen several Carson Robeson Recording King accoustic guitars for sale.I would really appreciate any knowledge anyone could share with me.Thanks Fiddler |
