HI Guys -
Just thought I'd get some opinions. I have the chance to adopt a 1944 LG-2 from a local shop which appears in good condition with no repairs, etc. I have read the stuff about them on guitarHQ.com and a few other sources on the web. Mostly stuff about Arlo Guthrie and a 3/4 version that Woody gave him. My quesiton is this, What are your thoughts about this guitar as a player or as a collectable or both? Also - L-00 vs LG-2, which one would you grab?
Thanks -
Best regards-

| First, are you getting it to play it or as an investment? If you're going to play it, then you need to play it and see if you like it. If it sings to you and tells you to take it home, nothing else matters, get it. If you're buying it as an investment, it doesn't matter; it will eventually increase in value as long as you take care of it. If you like one of the other guitars you mentioned better after you play it, then go that direction instead. |

Thanks Herb -
Sage advice.
Problem is I won't be able to get my hands on the L-00, so I wont be able to do a direct comparison. Folks that I've spoken to with L-00 always rave about them. So, I'm sort of stuck on what to do. In reality what I should do is just learn to play the guitars that I already have better, but what fun would that be....
Thanks for the response.
