| Anyone know where I may be able to find a few original parts for a 78' Les Paul Custom? Many years ago, unfortunately I changed out the two plastic covers on the back, the plastic peices that surround the pickups, and the volume / tone knobs. The stuff I pulled off was black and of course I lost these parts over the years. Just started looking into trying to put it back to all original. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! mad: |

JD is the resident LP guru here, I'll bet he can help ya out. Stan has at least one 70's LP as well. Hold the line..

I'll check my stash. Its not going to be easy finding original parts though. Ebay might be your best bet. Luckily the plastic from all the Les Pauls were intechangeable in the 70's so any black covers should fit. The rings are stamped with a number on the inside. I think M8 rings a bell. I'll double check and get back to you. I have some of these parts, but even my stash is getting smaller these days.

| It's VERY hard to find vintage parts without paying serious money, but ebay is your first stop. Given that the parts are kind of generic, I would not hesitate to buy new and just let the new parts age, although I'd go for vintage knobs... |
