OK - I got my new LP Standard and am wondering if I should change the strings right away. You know - the same way you immediately change the oil on a new used car you just took posession of.
I am a newbie at this guitar stuff so am checking or seeing that I am a beginner the strings that came on it would be OK for a while. I have noticed that the frets have left marks on the strings - presumeably from shipping and storage.

Well, I'd play it for a few weeks anyway just to get some use out of them. They often don't put their best strings on new Epiphones, but they are not terrible, so play them for awhile and get used to your new baby! Cool
