Got a LP Standard and the neck pickup is tilted. The screws are much higher than end toward the bridge. It works fine just looks weird. Anyone have this problem and how was it resolved?

Learning lots a stuff from you guys, thanks.

Howdy Youngblood! Cool

The pickup's height is adjusted by the two screws on the sides of it. If you haven't ever been in there, underneath the pups, there is just a spring around those screws that controls the "leveling" of the pickup. So from outside you can re-level it just by tipping it in the direction you want it to go to make it better. If it won't stay there, and tips back, then it is likely that the wires coming out of the pickup are folded up under it and that is why the pickup is not looking right.

Next time you change strings, take out the four screws in the pickup mounting rings, and lift up the pickup assembly. If it looks like what I described, then rearrange the wires so they aren't pushing up on the pickup, and reassemble. That should take care of it. Cool

If it doesn't, you can find small a piece of foam that is the right size and put in in under the pickup so it holds the pickup level. That won't affect your tone or anything, and should further help to solve your problem.

Let us know how it works out! Idea

I have that looks that way, but it is just an optical illusion. I have checked it and checked it.
The Pickup ring is angled, taller on the bridge side and very short on the neck side, so you are seing more of the pickup cover on one side than the other giving it the illusion of being tilted.

Yeah, I hadn't even thought of that! Technically, the pickup should sit there parallel to the strings, and not to the body. Cool
