Has anyone encountered and solved this problem before? I guess I was adjusting the truss rod too much because I stripped the two screwholes for the coverplate on the headstock. Is there anything I can do besides getting wider screws (I'd rather keep the original ones)? Can I fill the holes with something (glue and sawdust?) and then screw the original screws in when it dries? Thanks for your help.

| dip a toothpick in glue and put it in the hole. When the glue dries, or even before, break the toothpick off, then drive the screw in. |

Yes, that will work fine. I've used that technique so many times, I can't remember 'em all. |
