Has anyone encountered and solved this problem before? I guess I was adjusting the truss rod too much because I stripped the two screwholes for the coverplate on the headstock. Is there anything I can do besides getting wider screws (I'd rather keep the original ones)? Can I fill the holes with something (glue and sawdust?) and then screw the original screws in when it dries? Thanks for your help.

Misha

dip a toothpick in glue and put it in the hole. When the glue dries, or even before, break the toothpick off, then drive the screw in.

Yes, that will work fine. I've used that technique so many times, I can't remember 'em all. Cool
