Hi,
I currently play my gibson sg through a Classic 30 and was considering selling it and getting a dsl 401 instead because I like the marshall tone. I usually play a lot of classic rock and would really like to get the AC/DC tone.
What do you guys think is the overall better amp? How does the overdrive and clean channels on the classic 30 compare to the dsl 401?
Pros/cons or just your personal opinions would be great.
Thanks |

Dang man, those are two different worlds. It's almost like comparing a Jeep to Ferrari. They're both good at what they do, and one cost more than the other.
In short, IMHO, I would say the Peavey would have a better clean tone, and the Marsha would have better overdriven tones. |

| The Peavey will also be a LOT more reliable. And a lot more versatile. |
